FMP, Inc. is a progressive consulting firm that works with clients to manage the entire lifecycle of their real estate and infrastructure assets.  We utilize Computer Aided Facility Management and Integrated Workplace Management technology to connect facilities information with organizations’ operational, human resource, and financial data.


FMP, Inc. has an opening for a Data Analyst position. This position will be responsible for the analysis, development, implementation and support of our clients’ Integrated Workplace Management Systems.  The Data analyst will work closely with the project team and clients’ technical staff throughout implementation of IWMS software packages to define requirements, assist with data collection and normalization efforts, design integration solutions and develop custom reports, views and scripts to satisfy business and technical needs.  The ideal candidate will be analytical, creative and have a passion for working in a fast-paced, small business environment.   We are a growing firm looking for a self-motivated person who has the ability and desire to collaborate with our team and quickly adopt new concepts and technologies with the goal of delivering optimal solutions to our clients.


This role must have a passion for providing ‘best practices’ and data solutions to meet the data and industry needs of our business.




·         Analyzes, designs and supports business applications and related data.

·         Assist with requirements gathering, design sessions and technical reviews with customers.

·         Work with key client business and IT users and internal project team to define requirements and design integration solutions to meet customer needs.

·         Collaborate with business and technology departments to define deliverables and develop solutions that are reusable across the organization.

·         Produce written deliverables for requirement specifications and support documentation: process mapping, meeting minutes, glossaries, data dictionary, technical design, system testing and implementation activities.

·         Create and administer queries for data upload, reporting and quality control.

·         Works closely with client and project teams throughout the design, development and implementation efforts to assist in ensuring business and technical needs are identified and satisfied.

·         Collect and organize data, data warehouse reports, spreadsheets and databases for analytical reporting.

·         Data collection, data input, monitoring, maintaining and reporting.

·         Troubleshoot issues in reports related to data and investigate data issues in source systems.



·         Demonstrates ability to plan, gather, analyze and document user and business information.

·         Incorporates, integrates, and interfaces technical knowledge with business / systems requirements.

·         Understanding of all aspects of an implementation project including, but not limited to planning, analysis and design, configuration, development, conversions, system testing, cutover and production support.

·         Technical expertise regarding data models and database design development.

·         Ability to present complex information in an understandable manner.

·         Understanding of SQL.  Adept at queries and report writing.

·         Flexible, self-motivated, extremely well organized and detail oriented with the ability to work with large amounts of data.

·         Effective verbal and written communication skills at all levels within the organization.

·         Proficient in MS Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint.

·         Knowledge of facility management, asset management, space planning and/or architectural principles is a plus.



·         Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration or related field.

·         3+ years experience in an analytical position demonstrating knowledge of information management, relational database design/development, business intelligence, data mining or reporting.
